Front cover First draft

My drafts for the front cover of my magazine, the first on the left the second with the minor aesthetic changes. The process started with me pulling up the image in to photoshop and then i continued by putting a skyline onto the top of page with the shape tool i then changed the colour with the fill tool to the black and then with font images for the internet i added the first bits of the text starting with the skyline, piece by piece i put it together with the words being in separate layers and  then i went on to add the cover stories which i did in the same way with the addition of after i was happy with the text i added underlines in the bold red to add a colour scheme that i liked and thought to match a indie rock genre magazine. I then used the shape tool to create a large circle then using the fill tool i made it the same red colour as before which afterwards i added text using the same process and finally added the barcode then over the top the date and price.

After i had finished those two i made a final version of my cover. i changed arrangements and added more story's to both sides, i also change some of the colour to make the whole image seem more vibrant and  eye catching so as to attract more in the way of audience. I also wanted the artist image to look somewhat brighter so i played around with the contrast and brightness settings on that layer so as to add the effect i wanted. To go on from there i decided that i wanted it to have even less vacant space to then enlarged the masthead and the "free download" plug
